Who We Are:
We are Social Enterprise Alliance - Colorado, a nonprofit dedicated to promoting and empowering social enterprise, social entrepreneurs, and those who do business for good.
Our Project:
Social Entrepreneurs, differencemakers, changemakers, and social enterprises are coming together to launch the first ever Denver "Be About It" Awards. The awards will feature:
- Best New Organization (<2 years old)
- Be About It Student of the Year
- Young Social Changemaker of the Year
- Experienced Social Changemaker of the Year
- Social Enterprise of the Year (Organization)
- Be About It Person of the Year
To make this happen we want to budget for an:
- Award Show - Planning the Event
- Banquet - Food and drinks from Social Enterprises
- Marketing collateral
Why It Matters:
When we talk about sustainable development, social enterprise is the future. It is self-sustaining, socially-impactful, and locally-born. It’s time for us to support the growth and infrastructure of Denver’s burgeoning social enterprise sector, and to recognize and celebrate those that amplify social impact.
How You Can Help:
We want to show our appreciation for the best of Denver by building from the ground up. YOU will get to nominate and decide on our award winners, so start thinking of your favorite people out there!

Haiku Hero
Not only will you receive your ticket for the Awards Gala, but our Outreach Coordinator, Max Spiro, will write you a personal haiku, post it to social media, and tag you in it!
