What are we doing?
Readers Theater Works! is asking for help to fund one pilot after school literacy program for the most underserved kids in Boise Idaho.
Why do we care?
Literacy is a path out of poverty!
This pilot program will be held at a Community School in Boise, Idaho. This school is classified as a Title 1 school with 99% of their students living at or below the poverty level.
With our unique approach to learning literacy, we are setting students up to be life long readers. Life long readers become life long learners and better problem solvers as adults.
Help us give students that first boost of confidence and the skills that will help them for a lifetime.
What do we need?
$2,500 will cover the cost of the pilot program. This includes 15 hours of literacy instruction that ends with a performance, as well as school supplies and healthy snack options.
All we need is you!
With your generous financial support, this pilot program will give 12 underserved students the opportunity to grow as readers in a fun environment designed for them to academically succeed.
