Bhabishya And Jamarko
Bhabishya and Jamarko(BAJ) is a non-profit organization established and run by the students of Ritsumeiken Asia Pacific University in Japan. The name of our organization signifies two Nepali words we believe are the backbones to a better future: Bhabishya meaning Future and Jamarko meaning Effort.
Who’s dreams?
In rural areas of Nepal, a lot of families rely on agriculture as their main source of income and most of those families are barely self-sufficient which is why the school has made their tuition fees as low as possible. Therefore, the school cannot afford to invest in new facilities due to the limited fund.
BAJ members began partnership with the Mohariya Bandipur Believers English School (MBBES) in 2016 through our first project, a cultural exchange. Located in the western part of Nepal, MBBES provides education to children of all castes and religions. Our project strives to support the betterment of education in this small school.
Books for Bhabishya
Our project KITAB, named after the Nepali word for book, aims to gift MBBES with a library. KITAB project includes the construction of a library, the donation of books and furniture, and conducting of a session for sustainable use of the library.

OUR * TEAM
- Bhabishya and Jamarko for Nepal (BAJ) is formed by six students who are currently in the undergraduate program in Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU). BAJ has 10 members from 7 different nationalities, which represent multinational cooperation and cultural diversity of BAJ. (Japan, China, Vietnam, Nepal, Bhutan, Bahrain and Uzbekistan). The principle of BAJ since its establishment is to motivate spontaneous learning and critical analysis ability towards arising social and development issues. As BAJ’s activities are oriented to community and development, BAJ is pleased to have APU Student Office and faculty members from the major of Environment and Development as project advisors to support and guide our project.

バビッシャとジャマルコという言葉
- バビッシャ アンド ジャマルコ フォア ネパール （BAJ) は別府にあるアジア太平洋大学の学生によって設立されたボランティア団体です。私達ＢＡＪの団体名は夢を意味するバビッシャと努力を意味するジャマルコの二つのネパール語の単語から出来ています。
ネパールの夢を持つ子供たち
- 貧困をなくす為、社会変化をもたらすため、そして社会格差を縮めていくために、教育は最も重要な手段であるという考えを元に、ＭＢＢＥＳ校は生まれました。ネパールの地方では、未だ自給自足で生活をする人々が少なくありません。ＭＢＢＥＳ校には、そのような家庭で育つ子ども達も多く在籍しているため、授業料を上げられず、現状では図書館などの施設を建設することが難しい、ということが問題となっています。
- ２０１６年ＢＡＪは、第一回目のプロジェクトの文化交流を通して、ＭＢＢＥＳ校とのパートナーシップを組みました。ＭＢＢＥＳ校はネパールのバンディプール地区の子ども達に、宗教や階級を問わず教育を提供しています。そして、２０１７年ＢＡＪのプロジェクトの目的は、本が無く、勉強したいという気持ちがあっても十分にはできない子どもたちのために、資金不足で困っているこの小さな小学校に、図書室を建設することです。
夢を育てるための図書館
- プロジェクト名のキターブはネパール語で本を意味する言葉です。その名のとおり、このプロジェクトではＭＢＢＥＳ校の図書館の設立、本や棚の寄付、そして図書館の使い方や管理の仕方などを教えるセッションを行います。
どのように皆様の支援が役立てられるか:
- 皆様の支援はMBBES校での図書館建設に役立てられます。
- ＭＢＢＥＳ校を支援する事は学校の方針である異なる宗教や階級の人を受け入れる姿勢、又それを子ども達に学ばせる・身に着けさせることを推進します。
- 皆様からの支援で子供達の本を買います。子供達が本を読むことで、知的好奇心を向上させ、読書の習慣、そして教養を身に着けることが目的です。
私たちの予算:
- 目標金額の資金を獲得することによって、私たちは MBBES校に図書館を建設することができます。
- 私たちのプロジェクトにかかる費用は、総額で5409ドル、日本円で５９万６９０円です。
- 私たちの母校である立命館アジア太平洋大学は、このプロジェクトに必要とされる資金の1/4、約150,000円を補助金として出資してくださいます。
なぜ図書館が必要とされるか
- 図書館は集中して本を閲覧できる理想的な場であり、そこから得られる情報や知識を元に深い学びや学生同士でのディスカッションを可能にする場でもあります。
- 図書館は学生の批判的思考能力や好奇心を発足させる役割があり、それらがさらなる高等教育を目指す原動力となります

- 全ての資金はMBBES校での図書館建設に役立てられます！
- 100,000円 以上資金を調達できた場合も、図書館の建設に使用されます。
私たちの団体
- バビッシャ アンド ジャマルコ フォア ネパール（ＢＡＪ）は立命館アジア太平洋大学の学部生６人で設立されました。団体は今７か国（日本、中国、ベトナム、ネパール、ブータン、バーレーン、ウズベキスタン）からの １０人のメンバーで構成されています。設立当初からのＢＡＪの方針は、社会問題を解決するための理解力などを推進することです。ＢＡＪの活動は開発に関わるものが多いため、大学の環境・開発部の教員の方々にアドバイスなどをいただきながら取り組んでいます。
