Have you ever met anyone who has decided to jump on a solar powered electric bicycle and ride around Australia?
No?
Well buckle up, you're about to!
Let's start with the WHY behind this tour.
The intention behind this trip is to create a stronger connection to and understanding of our beautiful country whilst regenerating it through traditional and modern methods to create a positive environmental impact.
We're done with all the doom and gloom that's being shared about our shared future. It's time to change the narrative.
This trip is a positive vision for the future that will inspire hope, unlock connection and unleash potential for all involved.
What exactly is happening and how is the tour going to unfold?
The way that we plan on facilitating this process is by sharing time with Australians at community activations where we will focus on current environmental solutions and the importance of connection between humans, indigenous and non indigenous, as well as our natural environment.
These community activations will include film screenings of the hybrid documentary 2040, where the viewers will be prompted to Join The Regeneration. To learn about, contribute to, advocate for and invest in regenerative solutions to improve our planet.
On top of the film screenings we will be creating inclusive cultural conversations around the solutions mentioned in the film as well as the needs of the communities these events will take place in.
We will be documenting all opportunities that are presented throughout the trip and we will also record data on the kilometres ridden, Co2 saved VS driving, communities visited, schools participated, screenings shown, regenerative actions taken, trees planted, through our partnership with ecosia and people involved in Big Bike Ride community activations.
How long is this going to take and where are we going?
The tour will begin on Monday the 30th of March when we depart Sydney and head north. We'll be stopping at a number of small communities along the way but here are some of the more populated areas so you can get an idea of the trip in a nutshell.
Once we've left Sydney we'll head up the east coast to Kempsey, Byron, Brisbane, Noosa and all the way up to Cairns. When we hit Cairns we will head inland towards Darwin. From Darwin we move down through Litchfield National Park, past Fitzroy Crossing to Broome. Down from Broome to Perth and then inland across the Nullarbor to Adelaide, Melbourne and Tasmania. We will finish off the trip by riding back up to Sydney for Christmas 2020.

Righto, so who's bum is going to be on the seat?
My name is Josh and I respect the connection between humans and the environment.
After travelling the globe and visiting the 7 continents, I developed an electric passion for creating positive social impact through the lens of connection and regeneration.
My most recent work has been with a grassroots NGO called Seaside Scavenge that’s focussed on environmental conservation and community development. This work has helped me hold stronger working relationships and communicate my environmental advocacy clearly.
During 2019 I came to a realisation that there is a lack of connection to the natural environment in Australia which is leading to mismanagement of land, water, waste and energy usage.
I developed a vision that involves Australians becoming more connected to the natural environment and leading by example in protecting it so that future generations may also be connected to country.
“Joshua reached out to me in 2019 after the federal elections and since meeting him, I have experienced his commitment to environmental and community leadership. He is a passionate young man who looks for pragmatic solutions and I look forward to watching his future projects unfold.”
-Dave Sharma Federal MP for Wentworth, Australian Parliament
“Joshy is a rare human with the ability to organise events, activate community and think 10 steps ahead at any point in time – he is a doer and the embodiment of humble and conscious leadership”
-Sara Rickards, Author, Speaker, Scientist, Co-Founder of Future Giving
