Who are we?
CO-ED is a youth organisation, uniting, inspiring, and empowering youth and young adults to become changemakers in this world. We believe that true leadership comes from the inside out. Leading ourselves with integrity is the first step to becoming impactful leaders of our communities, our countries and our world.
We aim to create sustainable solutions to why we are not experiencing cross-cultural embrace, world peace, compassionate leadership and equality. As our youth are the emerging leaders of the world, we at CO-ED are here to engage, inspire, unite, and empower youth to bring our cultures together, find our own voice, share it with the world, and take action.
Why it Matters?
In Australia alone, 40,430 children are abused each year, whether that be
physical, emotional, mental, or sexual. Abuse and neglect as a child is a
significant cause of depression and suicide in adults. Not being nurtured,
supported, and accepted has led many of us to live unhappy, unfulfilling lives.
The wonderful thing is, our bodies are vessels of profound change and
transformation once we feel safe enough to embrace and express our emotions. Our
emotions and brain states naturally transform and regulate, resulting in
compassionate, empathetic, self-confident, embodied human beings reaching their
full potential.
Once we start to see that everything in our life happened 'for us' as opposed too, 'to us', we can start to transform our lives and live the life we dream of.
How will it Happen?
We offer various programs in Australia and hope to expand worldwide. These include:
- "I AM day"
A donation based family friendly event that gives a taste of what CO-ED
offers. It will showcase young leaders that are making a difference in the
world and give youth and young adults an opportunity to lead their own ideas and
initiatives. We will also raise funds to unite youth from across the globe to
attend the annual "CO-ED Global Youth Summit".
- Embodied Leaders Development Program - Age 18-28
An on-going committed program running throughout the year exploring topics such as Self-Expression, Acceptance, Resiliency, Compassion, Empathy, Conflict Resolution, Forgiveness, and Ecological Awareness.
- L.E.A.D: Leadership, Embodiment, Awareness, Diversity
This program is a specific in-schools program that is designed to teach
school students the fundamentals of social emotional learning, create trust and
acceptance between one another and will explore themes such as Trust, Empathy, Gratitude, Creativity, Kindness, Forgiveness, Humility, Courage, Integrity, Mindfulness, Communication and Conflict Resolution.
- CO-ED Global Youth Summit
This is an annual event uniting young leaders from across the globe to a
week long event in the country side of Australia, sharing ideas, collaborating
and taking action on some of the issues we face today. It will be a time to
embrace each other, heal, connect and empower one another to be who we are and
develop the courage to do whatever it is that we are born here to do.
- CO-ED Community
A network each participant enters into after they have successfully completed a CO-ED Program. This community is designed as an integration support network where youth and young adults can remain connected, share ideas and have regular meet ups. We will partner with councils, governments, local and international Non-Profits that are needing support and we will send out our CO-ED Community members to help out those in need.
