So, there’s this little track in Fulton, NY. It’s for kids. They build character defining traits like playing by the rules, never giving up, clear communication, and a sense of family and community. They bring these honed characteristics to their families, schools, and communities. They build friendships that last a lifetime.
Yes, it’s a track. It’s a race track. For cars. For kids.
Founded in 1997, the Oswego County Quarter Midget Club (OCQMC) stands as a monument to the vision of our founders. They wanted a safe place for kids to learn and grow into productive members of the community. Over the years, hundreds of kids aged 4 ½ to 16 have done just that. They own small businesses, are pillars of their communities, and have thriving families. They are proud to call themselves OCQMC alumni. In recent years, the club has worked to maintain and improve the club and facility. In 2015, we became officially recognized as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Our latest major improvement, electronic scoring, is in the final stages of install!
Today, OCQMC faces a crisis. Our new lease agreement requires us to install a 1,500 linear ft fence to separate the facility from the adjoining airport property. This fence comes with a healthy price tag. Current estimates bring the cost in around $30K. This $30K is 2/3 of the annual operating budget of the club. Without the fence, OCQMC could lose the facility. We have to have this fence installed by October 31, 2019. Our need is urgent! We are asking you, our families, friends, alumni, and community to help us BUILD THE FENCE!
Donate to OCQMC and become a legacy to the club and the facility. Donors will be recognized throughout the season at OCQMC events and in our annual yearbook. We created levels to show you how much fence you help us purchase with your donation:
All additional funds we raise will be placed in an endowment fund for making improvements to the facility (e.g., repaving the track) to ensure it lives on for future racers. Our Green, White, and Checkered Flag donors and Victory Lane donors will get their names on their section of fence, to live on into the future of OCQMC.
