What is a Rolla Bottle?
The Rolla Bottle is a refillable, roll-up and take anywhere water bottle. It functions like a traditional bottle but rolls small when empty. This means no more bulky bottles to carry, when empty simply roll and stash your Rolla until you are ready for your next refill. Never be caught without a bottle.

THE MADNESS
The growing awareness of the health benefits of drinking enough water every day, and the associated need for hydration on-the-go has fuelled demand for convenient and accessible bottled water, a market that was relatively non-existent as little as 30 years ago now consumes 233 billion litres annually!
Choosing disposable plastic bottled water may seem convenient, but the inconvenient truth is that something that may be used for 5 minutes lasts a lifetime.
ENVIRONMENTAL MADNESS
With only a third of all plastic bottles recycled, over 40 billion bottles end up in landfills and oceans each year – turning our oceans into a toxic plastic soup.
At this rate there will be more plastic than fish in the sea by 2050!
HEALTH MADNESS
Hundreds of ocean species are threatened by plastic pollution but it’s not just the wildlife who are being affected. Plastics get broken down into toxic micro pieces, and are making their way up the food chain to us. Eating seafood now means consuming plastic in every mouthful.
We are eating our own trash and making ourselves sick – madness when the bottled water market was born of an effort to keep ourselves healthy…
SUSTAINABILITY MADNESS
To make 1 litre of bottled water it takes 3 litres of water, ¼ litre of crude oil (estimated 17 billion barrels per year in the USA alone) and uses carbon in transport – 600 times more CO2 than tap water!
MONEY MADNESS
Bottled water costs about 2000 times the price of tap water.
Often the water you are paying for is just filtered tap water.
Could this be the scam of the century?
Bottled water is environmental terrorism at its finest....
BUT WHY?
With so much compelling evidence about the negative impact of bottled water, why are so many people still buying it? In Australia alone we are spending $688 million on the stuff, it’s more expensive than petrol and still we can’t get enough. Most people are content to drink tap water at home, but why is there so much consumption of bottled water when on-the-go?
Is the inconvenience of lugging a bulky bottle around the reason so many people are choosing to purchase disposable over carrying a reusable bottle?
If so there must be a better way for convenient hydration that doesn't trash the planet….
Rolla Bottle was conceived by me. I’m a Melbourne mum and planet enthusiast determined to help the world rise above the madness of bottled water.
The light bulb moment came for me when my daughter's school was going on a sustainability excursion and they were told to bring a disposable water bottle to THROW AWAY so they didn't have to carry home their empty drink bottles. WTF!! There is no 'AWAY' when it comes to plastic.
Rolla Bottles are made from premium food grade silicone, naturally free from BPA, non-toxic and non-absorbent so your water will always taste fresh.
The unique leak proof design enables it to roll small when empty and function like a traditional bottle when filled.
Rolla Bottles will be available in lots of fun and fashionable colours but to kick things off we are starting with blue, symbolic of the ocean.
And importantly - because we are committed to both ending the madness –AND helping to fix the damage already done – 10% of the profits from Rolla Bottle profits will be donated to clean ocean campaigns and organisations working to remove plastic already in our oceans.
You will see the Jellyfish 10% logo proudly displayed on all Rolla Bottles.
The jellyfish symbolises the plastic pieces in the ocean that are often mistaken for marine life such as jellyfish and eaten by other sea creatures and birds thinking it is food.
The projects we are supporting and the impact we are helping create will feature on our website and social media updates. We will be reaching out to our Rolla community to hear about projects you would like us to support.
