Support for Vulnerable Communities
Most of communities in the south of Madagascar are not safe facing the spread of covid19 pandemic. Before covid19 spread, these communities live with 1$ a day. They actually become more and more vulnerable after two months of lockdown without income sources. Moreover, most of the villages do not have water and/or clean water to drink. They have to fetch stagnating water, water in the river, or to retrieve the rain water in the street. This situation makes them more exposed to covid-19 and need urgent intervention from non-profit organization. Thus, our association called "E Coopération et Dévelopement (ECoDev)" took the initiative to help our neighbor by organizing this fundraising.
Our Urgent Project
The collected funds will be used to distribute preventive materials and equipment, food and clean water to the vulnerable communities. We will also sensitize the communities about barrier measures to prevent the spread of covid19. At least 20,000 households will directly benefit this present humanitarian project. For more information about our project, please visit this web site : www.ecodev-madagascar.org
The update of our actions will be reported in this website by 15th August.
When we need this Funds?
As this is an urgent intervention for helping communities to adapt and survive face to Covid-19 impact, we would like to launch our actions by 20th july 2020. We have already collected 438€ from offline donations (78€ from local company Malange SARL, 138€ ECLA EA, 157€ from our organization members, 9€ from Guillaume Caulier in Belgium, and 56€ from donors in Norway).
We are very grateful for those who will support our charity action. Start some good with only 1$, it may save a human life.
