SevGEN is a registered grassroots charity. We are Indigenous controlled and driven. For us this means we are able to respond rapidly to needs that are expressed in our community, often just in conversation. I guess you could say we are a first response kind of organisation.
We are pleased to let you know that SevGEN is a Deductible Gift Recipient Charity (DGR) so you can give and get back- perfect!
We urge you to take a look at our website @ www.sevgen.com.au to get a sense of what we do or better still call on 0431454333 and we can have a conversation - who knows what might ensue!
SevGen was created to honour the full, true and creative self and to celebrate, validate and reinvigorate our Indigenous way of being. Yes all of us!
Terri Waller, founder, mother of six and qualified teacher has spent her life considering the optimal conditions for doing this and after reflection , research and reawakening, developed what she sees as the self-sustaining and sustainable 3E model of Enterprise, Education and Entrepreneurship. This brings us to the Eumundi Blackmarket (See more pictures and stay in touch via our facebook page).
When you come to the Blackmarket in Eumundi you will see and sense the 3E model in action all in one place! We are referring to it as SevGen's 3E Ecosystem. Please join us if you are in the area on the last Friday of every month. Here is where this campaign comes in.
Up until now when you are visiting the Eumundi Blackmarket you have to leave to go in search of some tucker when tummies start to rumble.
"Celebrate Country: Bushtucker Social Enterprise" campaign will enable us to purchase a food venue. This means you won't have to leave the Blackmarket ecosystem at all until you are ready.
More of our young people who are needing a safe, positive and creative space will benefit from this becoming the spiritual tourism destination that we envisage and more of our mission related work will benefit from its success.
That is great news!
We have been saving our pennies and letting our social investors know all about the vision. $10,000 has already been donated by one of those investors and this has got us almost half way there.
BUT We still have a shortfall, so we need your help to make it happen.
Please make a pledge if you can.
We would like to thank the English Family Foundation and StartSomeGood for seeing the vision.
