Neonicotinoid pesticides are killing our bees, bugs and birds at an alarming rate.
Three of them were banned on Monday 29th April across the EU.
This is great news!
BUT only half the battle. The ban does not cover use in winter. It doesn't cover
use on certain crops. And it makes no mention of the two other neonicotinoids, which are still completely legal. Not to mention their use
in the US and the rest of the world!
We need to maintain this momentum, and get neonicotinoids banned, all year, on all crops, in all countries, NOW!
WHO WE ARE
HELLO! I'm Harry, co-founder of Ample Earth. Our organisation is dedicated to making animated videos for
just causes and worthy ideas.

SO WHAT'S THE STORY?!
The FULL SCRIPT can be read here: http://goo.gl/J2Vgj
Below are some initial BEE CHARACTERISATIONS:
And here some of the INITIAL SCENE ILLUSTRATIONS:
In case you don't want to read the whole script, it climaxes in a powerful epilogue.
In the year 2050, a family are having their Sunday lunch. A large portion of
white rice is piled high on their plates, as they reminisce about
the juiciness of strawberries and lament how wonderful it was to start the day with coffee and milk - just a few of the ingredients requiring natural pollination.
The final scene will give the viewer three on-screen buttons to click:
Write to your MP-----Share this video------Do nothing
The idea of the World With No Bees video is to get people to realise that the pesticide issue
directly affects you, your children and your grandchildren.
And that our actions today will will determine how the world looks, sounds and smells, and especially, what we eat.
TO HELP US ON OUR MISSION
We are incredibly fortunate to have a number of high profile people on board, including
Verity White, a Natural History Producer at the BBC who has recently returned from filming the latest David Attenborough "Africa" series (and we are asking Sir David to get involved too - but no promises!)
Former Editor of the Ecologist Magazine, MP for Richmond Park and renowned Envioronmental campaigner Zac Goldsmith
has added his significant weight to the campaign.
The animation is being hand drawn by Professor of Animation at New York University
and winner of 22 animation awards Patrick Smith.
Patrick's quite incredble animations can be seen here:

Perhaps most importantly, we are teaming up with
BugLife. A charity who has been pioneering in their approach to
tackling the issue of pesticides and whose track record in protecting the environment from dangerous chemicals is unrivalled.
GETTING THE MESSAGE OUT THERE
But it doesn't stop there. The video needs to be distributed. So we are running an extensive social media campaign to get the word out.
So far the following celebrities have agreed to help get the word out: JODIE KIDD VIVIENNE WESTWOOD, KATHARINE HAMNETT and AINSLIE HARRIOT
And any additional funds above the £10,000 ($15,000) raised will go towards running the PR campaign needed to make the most of these
A-list celebrities.
This includes getting in the national and international media, targeting bloggers and online influencers
and distribution to other countries.
