Use Of Funds

$5,000 Tipping Point Goal

The funds will go wholly to hiring two veteran, expert teachers: one a middle school teacher who will produce Best Practices Weekly editions focusing on middle school; one a high school teacher who will produce Best Practices Weekly editions focusing on high school. Since middle and high school are subject-specific, and given the importance of science and math, the hires will focus on science and math topics.  Later hires will add editions focusing on English and social studies.  Each hire will work part-time for one year, 15-20 hours a month (so that they can maintain their regular teaching jobs), at a salary of $5,000.


With the tipping point goal of $5,000, we will be able to hire a middle school expert.  With the total goal of $10,000, we will be able to hire both a middle and a high school expert.


Throughout this process, we will continue to seek permanent funds from philanthropic foundations to build sustainability.
