The Background
Friends, family, and people new to this adventure, hello.
I'm raising a modest $2,000 to purchase school supplies and a field trip for girls in Vietnam who have been rescued from the cycle of sexual abuse, and for Vietnamese girls living in Cambodia who have been taken into protective
care because they were deemed to be at-risk for being sold into sexual abuse and sex trafficking.
Right now, these girls are under the care and upbringing by a US-based, non-government organization operating in both Vietnam and Cambodia. As such, they are fortuante enough to go to school and get a proper education. With
your support I will provide them with additional supplies to help them excel in school and in their English studies, experiences that will help them secure an even better education and career opportunities when they're adults.
The Plan
This campaign is as basic as they come:
1) You support the campaign,
2) We reach our financial goal, and
3) I take said contributions, purchase the
below items, and deliver them to the girls before I return to the States in mid-Aug.
The Wish-list as provided by Sister Ngoc, the nun and house mother responsible for the upbringing of the girls that live in the Vietnam house:
* Three Vietnamese <-> English dictionaries (2 for the Vietnam house of 16 girls, 1 for the Cambodia house of 8 girls)
* Textbooks and supplimental educational materials for the girls to use at home
* Cambodian language textbooks for the Vietnamese girls living in Cambodia
* Grade 10 textbooks for the two girls who recently tested out of middle school and into high school
* A field trip for the Vietnamese girls in Cambodia to travel back to Vietnam to watch a movie with the girls in the Vietnam house
The Call to Action
You can support this campaign by:
1) Making a contribution of any amount comfortable to you, and/or
2) Sharing this campaign with your friends, family, and colleagues and encouraging them to make their own contribution
